The Renaissance Club, North Berwick, 2019

Scotland – a land rich in golfing history. A land full of iconic courses, wild coastlines, and weather that likes to keep golfers on their toes. The land of kilts, bagpipes and the Saltire. And last but not least, the land of the Scottish Open. This inspired us travel to the prestigious Renaissance Club in East Lothian, Scotland, to photograph this season's golf collection.

We spent two days on the course photographing our golf apparel including our pride and joy: the Pro 3L 2.0 rain outfit. Made up of waterproof pants and a jacket, we believe it’s the best rain outfit that the world of golf apparel has to offer. And our confidence is confirmed by the huge numbers of tour players who rely on the Pro 3L 2.0 during the rain for guaranteed freedom of movement.

The innovation team at KJUS analyzed golf swings and their biomechanics, right down to the muscle fibers, in their effort to create a rain outfit that helps golfers to always play their best without any limitations – even in the rain. They took extra care around the shoulders and upper back, which is where the fabric has to have the most give when you reach the top of your swing. That’s why they chose precisely this area to employ our new X-Stretch technology. As the name suggests, X-Stretch is a new form of technology that allows for maximum elasticity. As you swing your club, the X-Stretch panels move and stretch with you.

X marks the spot, so to speak. Jordan Whyte is the manager of the prestigious Renaissance Club. As the man in charge, he keeps his eye on each and every detail. So, Jordan was the one who pointed out the obvious: “It’s the Saltire!”

The silver X on the back of the dark blue rain jacket is exactly like the Scottish flag. We’ll break it down for you: KJUS traveled to a Scottish golf course to shoot an outfit that, by happy coincidence, features the Scottish flag. And now for the icing on the cake... the Renaissance Club hosts the Scottish Open, a stop on the lucrative Rolex European Series. Some of the world’s best golfers tee off here. The chance of rain? High. And the chance of wind? Very high. How much are we willing to bet that players and spectators alike will be decked out in the Scottish Pro 3L 2.0?

So, all that’s left for us to say is bring on the rain!
