Jason Caron's Remarkable Performance at the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship

Jason Caron isn't your typical golf professional. As the Head Golf Professional at the Mill River Club in Oyster Bay, New York, he's known for more than just equipping his members with the latest KJUS golfwear. Recently, Caron made headlines by tying for 4th place at the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship, achieving low PGA Professional honors with a 12-under finish. This marks the best performance by a PGA of America Golf Professional since Roy Vucinich's T4 finish in 2022. Caron approached the championship with a relaxed, family-oriented mindset. However, his impressive start quickly made it clear he was a serious contender. Here, Jason shares insights into his historic outing: Q&A with Jason Caron.

Q: What were the course conditions like?

A: The course conditions were perfect—firm and fast, with greens at the ideal speed. If you got the ball on line, you could make plenty of putts.

Q: What were you thinking as you were heading down the back nine on the final day?

A: I was playing really well and wanted to maintain that momentum. I made a great up-and-down for birdie on the 10th to go 6-under through 10 holes. Despite bogeys on the 14th and 17th, I managed a fantastic birdie on the tough 16th.

Q: How was the weather?

A: On the 18th hole, heavy rain set in. I relied on the KJUS Pro 3L 2.0 Jacket, which kept me comfortable with its stretch and waterproofing. Making par on the last hole secured my T4 finish and low PGA Professional honors. Jason also expressed his gratitude to KJUS for the company's top-notch waterproof jacket, recommending it to all golfers seeking high-quality, waterproof gear.
